Dellas enjoy the flexibility of their Landboss 1100D
HARVEY farmer Michael Della is enjoying the manoeuvrability, safety and load capacity, among other features of his recently purchased Landboss 1100D from Boekeman Machinery.
Mr Della describes the vehicle as a cross between a motorbike and a small ute, but said it is more versatile.
“The Landboss tray can carry 500 kilograms, it’s easy to pack with a chainsaw if I need to chop down a tree or other tools if I need to fix a fence,” Mr Della said.
“You can’t carry that gear on a motorbike and I wouldn’t be able to get to all areas of the paddock in a ute so it’s been great so far.”
Powered by a Kubota 24.8hp diesel engine the Landboss 1100D reaches maximum speeds of 60 kilometres per hour and can tow up to 800kg, plus it can be licensed which is a bonus according to Mr Della.
“I can take it on the road, it feels very safe,” he said.
“And I like that I can easily put it on a car trailer and tow it to my daughter’s farm in Narembeen, and also use it to pull around a 400 litre water tank with no bother.
“My son in Lancelin has one too.”
Boekeman Machinery branch manager Wongan Hills, Dillan Elliott said the company has sold a few Landboss 1100DD’s over the past few months.
“They are a reliable machine,” Mr Elliott said.
“They are mostly bought for farm utility and sheep work.”
