Boekeman Machinery is a family run business with agricultural & Toyota dealerships throughout the Wheatbelt of Western Australia. The group employs approximately 80 staff throughout 5 branches and has been operating for over 50 years.

Due to operational growth, Boekeman Machinery is seeking a Group Precision Farming Manager based out of Northam to manage our local customer base and the Precision Farming Team for its branches.

The role will require excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as providing professional support to our customers.

The person we seek must be a competent leader who has significant Agricultural or other heavy machinery experience utilising Trimble / CNH.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess;

    • Trade certificate in either auto electrical, mechanical or plant mechanic
    • Current Drivers licence
    • Supervisory/leadership experience and
    • Trimble / CNH (or other GPS systems) installation and diagnostics experience

Primary responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to);

    • Manage and allocate daily tasks to precision farming personnel (currently 4 staff)
    • Manage, mentor and train employees and trainees
    • Plan, manage and control the delivery of Trimble solutions and technologies
    • Manage Northam Precision Farming Sales – Includes Customer relationships, Sales, Support Including Precision Farming fit-ups
    • Provide expert agricultural Trimble advice on associated technical requirements of surveying, mapping, and spatial information systems
    • Provide expert advice on the application and use of Machine Guidance and Control Solutions, Logistics and Farming Solutions and Instrumentation & Monitoring
    • Responsible for survey data management activities, including calculations, validation, verification and manipulation of information
    • Manage Precision Farming parts stock
    • Manage our Northam customer base with Sales, Service & Support
    • Assisting the Sales Team with client queries and training of new products

The person we seek must be able to work autonomously as well as lead a team. The role is critical in supporting Boekeman Machinery and its customer base, and is pivotal in cementing confidence of our machinery.

Whilst knowledge of Case IH/Trimble products would be preferred, the business is more open to securing the services of a genuine, quality leader that has had exposure to co-ordinating a busy mobile machinery department and is open to growing a quality team.

To complement the role, Boekeman Machinery Northam has modern workshop and office facilities, which supports our commitment as a business to providing the best facilities to our staff and customers. You will also have the support of a strong team in Sales, Parts & Administration.

A package consisting of

    • Salary circa $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 (pending experience)
    • Fully maintained company vehicle, phone and laptop along with a
    • KPI based bonus/incentive structure

Potential housing and relocation support could also be negotiated for the right candidate.

Boekeman Machinery – Northam Branch is seeking a Agricultural Service Technician who has a genuine interest in our products including Case IH, JCB, Hardi, Simplicity and Flexicoil.

Experience within the agricultural machinery field is preferable, but not essential as Boekeman Machinery continually undertakes franchise related training and on the job training.

You will need to be a team player with excellent communication skills, and have the ability to provide professional support to our customers. The job includes both workshop and in field service.

Job Requirements:

-Australian Recognised Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Plant Mechanic;

-Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following procedures;

-Demonstrated strength in diagnostics;

-Proficient verbal and written communication skills;

-Ability to carry out manual labour including repetitive lifting;

-Valid driver’s license is required;

-Fork lift license preferred.
